Welcome to the City of Paterson COVID Health Literacy Platform
(the Platform), an online service developed on the e2Community Platform and provided
for your use by the City of Paterson Department of Health & Human Services,
Division of Health (the Department of Health). The platform seeks to
disseminate factual and scientific COVID-19 preventive information citywide, and use this information to take preventive public
health action that would reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 or
transmission to others. In the process, the project will gather information and
check to determine if the COVID-19 information was understood. By accessing the
Platform, you agree to accept these Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms and
Conditions").
In agreeing to these Terms and
Conditions and accessing the Platform, you agree that any information
you enter may be made available to the Department of Health. If you provide
your email address and/or phone number, Department of Health staff may use that
information to contact you. In agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you
expressly agree to the use of any information you enter by the Department of
Health.
In
connection with your use of the Platform, you agree not to: (1) Restrict or inhibit any other visitor
from using the Platform, including, without limitation, by means of
"hacking" or defacing any portion of the Platform; (2) Access or
attempt to access any information entered into the Platform or owned by any
other person, unless you have received express legal authorization to do so;
(3) Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (4) Transmit any content or
information that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, libelous,
defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable, or infringes the intellectual
property or other rights of the City of Paterson, RDE Systems, as the Licensor
of the e2Community Platform (Licensor), or any other person; (5) Engage in
spamming or flooding; (6) Transmit any software or other materials that contain
any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, defects, date bombs, time bombs or other
items of a destructive nature; (7) Reproduce, duplicate, modify, adapt, sell,
re-sell, sub-license, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or
make any commercial use of any portion of the Platform; (8) Remove any
copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in the Platform;
(9) "Frame" or "mirror" any part of the Platform without
prior written authorization of the Department of Health and Licensor; (10) Use
any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application or other manual or
automatic device or process to retrieve, index, "data mine" or in any
way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Platform
or its contents; or (11) Harvest or collect information about users without
their express consent. In connection with your use of the Platform, you agree
to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
The Platform, including but not limited to their
functionality and design, and all software used in the Platform, are the
property of Licensor. The Platform is protected by
United States and international copyright, trademark, and patent laws. The
text displayed on the Platform is the property of the Department of Health and is
protected by United States and international copyright, and trademark laws. Any
rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
The Department of Health and Licensor are neither
responsible nor liable for any injuries (including for wrongful death), direct,
indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or other
damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, those resulting from lost
profits, lost data, or business interruption), under any contract, negligence,
strict liability or other theory, arising out of or relating in any way to the Platform,
use of or inability to use the Platform, content or information contained
within or obtained from the Platform, any hyperlinked web site, any defect in
the Platform or its contents, and/or any breach of these terms and conditions. This
limitation applies (a) whether the alleged claims or damages are based on
warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory and (b) regardless of whether or not the Department of Health or Licensor have
been advised of the possibility of such damages.
